Welcome to the Theta Xi
Gamma Eta Chapter at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux,
Louisiana. The Gamma Eta Chapter of Theta Xi still follows the
tradition passed on since April 29, 1864 by the founding fathers of
our beloved fraternity. If you are new to this website and would
like further information on joining our fraternity, please feel free
to browse around and contact us with any questions. Active and
alumni members can keep up to date on the latest news and events.
Theta Xi endeavors to assist each member
in the development of:
- Intellectual curiosity that assures the highest scholarship
rating consistent with his ability
- Habits that lead to better mental and physical health
- Sincerity in his association with others and confidence in
himself
- Responsibility to chapter, college, community, and country
- Leadership that comes from practicing the principles of
democratic self-government
- Interests and activities outside regular scholastic studies
that employ spare time to advantage
- Spiritual understanding that provides a reservoir of strength
to draw upon when faced with conditions beyond comprehension
 The 1st Annual Alumni Reunion was a big success. Even with the Hurricane Katrina making its turn toward Louisiana coastline we still had a great turnout. The drinks, food, and music kept the night going until late into the night. Gamma Eta Alumni from all parts of the state and out of state showed up. For those Alumni not able to attend, we have posted several pics on the website for you to view. Hope everyone gets to attend next year and the weather does not hamper the event.
